Welcome

For those who have been inquisitive enough to come to this site, Welcome. And thank you. The site contains information about my favourite subject, me. So a biographical sketch in gory detail is provided for those who might be interested; curiously, it will still be there for those who aren’t.

This website also provides information about my next favourite subject: my books. As yet, only one of the five has  been published. This is not surprising. It is the first. Its title is: A Bone To Pick available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats at a nugatory price. This introduces a main character, Mr. Pettibone, a Londoner, a cockney of lower middle class background.

Pettibone has enjoyed a few brushes with the law and occasionally  finds himself in morally ambiguous situations. Whether he does the 'right thing' is up to the reader to decide. Pettibone  is encountered first, on a transatlantic crossing of the Queen Mary in 1937. During one of his stays at His Majesty’s pleasure (i.e. prison) he teaches himself about art and subsequently becomes an appraiser and dealer in antiques and paintings.

Mr. Pettibone  is the leading authority on the works of Geminiani and to a lesser extent, Cartilleri. Pettibone's adventures in self-directed morality have been described as ‘captivating.’ More encomia are to be found on Amazon, should you be so inclined!

From time to time, Mr. Pettibone may use the website to muse on various themes. At least I have invited him. But whether he chooses to do so is another matter.
